Get Involved In 2025 !

If you are in the information security and risk management field – there are more organizations to get engaged with than their is time!

For example:

• IAPP
• ISACA
• ISC2
• ISSA
• Infragard

There’s also SANS which is the best educational and community resource at: SANS

I’m looking forward to getting more engaged in 2025. I have already signed up for a local to Raleigh, NC ISACA event and hope to find other events in the area.

I keep hearing that we’ve got some great conferences that are more targeted and relevant than RSA and I hope to catch some of those as well. Speaking of conference, don’t forget that there is:

• SANS
• RSA
• B-SIDES (This one is for Raleigh, but there are plenty in other cities)
• BlackHat
• DefCon
• InfoSec World

Quite honestly, there’s also more conferences than you have time. Additionally, most of the organizations above also host conferences and there are plenty of vendor conferences, regulatory conferences, and other societies / groups.
